Ocean Job Board

We created the Ocean Job Board to facilitate access to job postings in the marine community.
The board links directly to the career pages of ocean organizations and updates when jobs are posted or taken down. It's free to use, and all applications go directly to the hiring organization.
Please also check out the ocean job boards run by these organizations: Seven Seas Media, Ocean Careers, WiseOceans, American Fisheries Society, Marine Conservation Institute, Nature Tech and ClimateBase.
Posting a job is free. To add or remove your organization or ask a question, please email us at jobboard@schmidtmarine.org.
Fisheries and Oceans Canada (MPO) is a federal institution responsible for the protection of waters and the management of Canada's fishery and ocean resources. The department ensures healthy and sustainable aquatic ecosystems through habitat protection and rigorous scientific research. It supports the economic growth of the maritime and fishing sectors while fostering innovation in areas such as aquaculture and biotechnology. With a focus on conservation and sustainable practices, MPO plays a crucial role in managing Canada's aquatic resources and addressing challenges like climate change.
Masts provides the academic platform and knowledge for marine governance and commerce by helping to establish a scottish strategy for marine science that will deliver increased value to the public from its investments. These investments are being made in themes that cover regions from the coasts to the deep oceans and subjects from the effects of global change to fisheries and aquaculture. They also enhance our ability to deliver first class training in marine science to support continuity of excellent research talent in scotland. This venture is delivering a new approach to shared sovereignty and a shift away from a system involving competition between a large number of small research centres to one where there is strong strategic collaboration.
The mission of the nonprofit Monterey Bay Aquarium is to inspire conservation of the ocean. Our diverse and dedicated team works in many ways to assure the future health of the ocean and the people who depend on a healthy ocean for their survival. Our living exhibits and visit programs are considered among the best in the world. We offer free education programs for more than 100,000 schoolchildren and educators each year -- and our new Bechtel Family Center for Ocean Education and Leadership is taking that work to a new level. Rigorous science underpins all of our work to advance policies that promote ocean health in the United States and internationally. Our respected Seafood Watch program is a global leader, giving businesses and consumers the tools to transform how fish are caught and farmed around the world. Our award-winning exhibits feature the rich diversity of marine life along California’s central coast -- from sea otters and kelp forests to jellyfish and sharks. Our newest exhibition, "Into the Deep / En lo Profundo," features never-before-see animals from the deep ocean. We attract nearly 2 million visitors a year and engage 3 million followers through our social media channels. Our education programs are shaping a new generation of science-literate ocean conservation leaders, and giving educators better tools for ecosystem-based learning. We promote science-based action on behalf of key species like sea otters, sharks, and Pacific bluefin tuna. We've advocated successfully to create marine protected areas, eliminate ocean plastic pollution, and end to the shark fin trade, and we support policies to address climate change and ocean acidification, which threaten ocean health, and our own survival.
