About the Opportunity

As an Associate in the Impact Investing Team, you will contribute to executing Minderoo’s Impact Investing strategy. You will support the Director, Senior Manager and Manager to drive direct impact through investing and managing Minderoo’s $250 million Strategic Impact and Catalytic Capital Funds.

You will assist with business development and will support executing impact investments aligned with one or more of Minderoo’s Focus Areas. This will include executing due diligence plans, contributing to Investment Committee recommendations and undertaking portfolio management and reporting activities. In addition, you will be one of the Impact Investing Team contacts for these Focus Areas, working collaboratively to support identifying strategic investment opportunities.

Reporting to the Director, Impact Investing, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting business development of impact investing opportunities aligned with one or more Focus Area;
  • Management of external key stakeholders;
  • Supporting the execution of impact investing opportunities, including building financial models, conducting due diligence (financial and impact) and drafting IC recommendations; and
  • Portfolio management and reporting of a diverse portfolio of impact investments, including impact reporting.

Qualifications

About You

To be successful you need to have strong analytical and technical skills, particularly in assessing the impact and financial returns of an investment opportunity.

In addition you will have:

  • Formal tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as commerce, finance, accounting, law, etc. with at least 3 years industry experience.
  • Previous experience working on transactions in impact investing, private equity or corporate finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

Please note this role is Perth or Sydney based however consideration can be made for exceptional remote candidates.
