The Web Analytics Specialist is responsible for day-to-day management, visualizations and insights for visitor behavior, multi-channel campaign reporting and conversions across the company's marketing platforms and numerous websites, mobile applications and audience segments. Candidate must have hands-on experience with cross-channel and multi-channel marketing and conversion rate optimization. Must be able to read and utilize existing documentation and configure tracking and reporting for new products and initiatives utilizing the company's existing GA data framework. Applicant would have regular interaction with business users to gather requirements and deliver selfserve analysis and meaningful insights. Must be an aggressive self-starter able to anticipate and provide solutions for internal customer analytics needs. Candidate is expected to become a key member of the enterprise's analytics team.

What You Will Do  Develop and maintain a suite of insightful self-service visualizations and dashboards of online user activity as a service for marketing, engineering and finance teams. Utilize and enhance existing enterprise data lake and reporting in Tableau, Google Data Studio and Google Analytics.  Collaborate with marketing and other internal teams to align on tracking and reporting requirements, with the goal of providing insights for campaign optimization across multiple marketing channels to drive online revenue and improve user experience and engagement.  Participate in the company’s web development process and provide briefs for engineering teams specifying analytics implementation requirements, based on high-fidelity designs and defined metrics and objectives. Perform user acceptance testing and update reporting as required.  Utilize the company’s data lake to create aggregations and roll-ups of raw GA data into optimized views to provide more effective visualizations, reduce report load times and centralized reporting.  Monitor the company’s websites to surface issues causing drop-outs or conflicting or unexpected results. Build monitoring systems to proactively identify discrepancies.  Continue the company's extensive digital analytics documentation in Confluence. Manage JIRA and Wrike analytics tickets for effective project tracking and integration with other teams.  Work closely with other analytics team members to support data lake, data pipelines and SQL aggregations and automations running in ETL jobs within AWS services.  Manage day-to-day interactions with GA reseller to implement tags across multiple websites, mobile applications and ecommerce tools using Google Tag Manager and existing framework.  Interact with GA reseller and internal teams to facilitate the migration to GA4 by Q2 2023.  Provide technical leadership on effective use and future path for Google Tag Manager, audience attribute APIs, website and campaign optimization, and analytics best practices

What You Will Need To Be Successful:  Advanced proficiency in Google Analytics including a deep understanding of the levels of GA data exports and how they are related and linked, including: users, visits, sessions, events, segments and products. Must have hands-on experience managing GA properties, views, filters, goals, users, cross-domain tracking and data linking within the Google eco-system.  Advanced proficiency in Google Tag Manager, including management of custom dimensions and metrics, ecommerce settings, triggers, javascript custom variables, datalayer variables, cookies, localStorage, query parameters, etc.  Advanced proficiency in SQL with full understanding of relational and hierarchical data structures. Must be able to use SQL to build aggregations for reporting efficiency and independently create data analysis for testing aggregations and confirming accuracy of reporting results. Experience with query performance tuning and query optimization.  Specific experience managing Google Enhanced Ecommerce implementations and tracking.  Experience building visualizations in reporting platforms like Tableau.  An understanding of Google Marketing Platform for managing users and permissions.  Familiarity with mobile application data and the use of pipelines such as Firebase.  Must be comfortable with concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, weighting, projections and other real-life applications of mathematical principles.

Skills Considered a Plus:  PADI Certified Scuba Diver or Instructor.  Experience with PPC and SEO.  Experience with AWS services.  User of Google Optimize or similar testing tools.  User of Google Search Console.  Working knowledge of REST APIs, data parsing and SFTPs.  Experience with CRM, CDP or DMP tools.  Experience with CMS tools such as Drupal.  Online advertising and SEM systems including Google Ad Manager and Google Ads.  A/B, multivariate testing and statistical analysis.  Privacy consent management

Education/Experience:  Certifications in Google platforms.  Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent preferred.  Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.  General knowledge of AWS environments such as Redshift, DynamoDb, S3 and Athena.  Working knowledge of HTML, Chrome Developer Tools, Javascript, JQuery and Regex.
