Ocean Job Board

Marine Stewardship Council
Are you looking to build your compliance career in an international, mission-driven organisation? Are you interested in privacy, data protection, and governance — and keen to apply your skills to a cause that protects our oceans?
At the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), our mission is to end overfishing and safeguard seafood supplies for future generations. As our Compliance Manager, you’ll help ensure the smooth running of our global compliance activities, from coordinating statutory filings in multiple jurisdictions to supporting data protection practices across our international operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day compliance processes with the benefit of support from senior leaders, and to collaborate with external stakeholders, making a tangible contribution to an organisation with global impact.
We are looking for someone who can bring:
Experience in a similar compliance role – ideally, within an international organisation.
Solid experience in compliance or governance — confident in coordinating statutory filings and maintaining accurate records.
Knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR) and practical experience supporting privacy policies, training, or risk assessments.
Strong organisational skills — able to manage multiple deadlines across jurisdictions and to maintain meticulous records.
A collaborative approach — comfortable working with senior leaders, external advisers, and colleagues across different teams and countries.
If you’re ready to use your compliance expertise to support a global mission with real-world impact, we’d love to hear from you.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences who share our passion for safeguarding the oceans.
We’re an international organisation and our employees all demonstrate a level of cultural awareness, and value the diverse views and approaches relevant to the MSC program.
