As Senior Commercial Officer, you'll play a key role in expanding the reach and impact of the MSC programme in Japan. From engaging major retailers and brands to ensuring ecolabel integrity, your work will support the global movement toward sustainable seafood. You'll collaborate with passionate colleagues across Japan, Asia Pacific, and beyond, contributing to something truly meaningful.

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in account management or commercial outreach, ideally in food, seafood, or related sectors.
  • Strong knowledge or interest in eco-labelling, certification, or sustainability standards.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging Japanese stakeholders across retail, foodservice, and supply chains.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English, with the ability to translate complex ideas clearly.

The successful candidate will need to work from the Japan office for a minimum of 50% of their working time each month The remaining time can be worked from home. During the onboarding process, hybrid work may require more in-office work than remote work.
