About the MSC

The MSC is seeking a talented and experienced Social Media Content Producer to work on a freelance basis with our Global Senior Social Media Manager to create engaging content that resonates with our audiences across various social media channels. The ideal freelancer will be both a video and image editor and a creative storyteller with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and a deep understanding of social media best practices.

About the Role

As a freelance Social Media Content Producer you will work on a project-by-project basis following briefs shared by MSC. You will receive competitive remuneration rates upon delivery of agreed assets within an agreed timeline. The work will involve developing engaging day-to-day content and working on projects like our annual global ocean-centred campaign. Deliverables will include:

Comprehensive social media content plans for each project.
Visual assets (images and videos).
Reusable templates for ongoing content creation (Canva, Adobe CC).

Required Skills:

Creativity and storytelling skills to create visually engaging content (images and videos) for multiple platforms: LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Excellent graphic design and video editing skills including advanced proficiency in Canva Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience working with paid, organic and earned social media content alongside a deep understanding of platform-specific content requirements.
Knowledge of the evolving social media landscape and best practices including algorithms, content formatting, subtitling, and visual calls to action.
