To develop our Ocean Data Platform further, we are searching for candidates to fill the position of (Senior) Software Engineer. We seek candidates with strong hands-on software development skills to build this game-changing hub! That is how we link data-driven solutions with the needs of the ocean.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate across teams to design, develop, and maintain a high-performance, scalable Ocean Data Platform using Python/Golang
- Utilize DevOps practices and principles to enhance productivity and continuously contribute to elevating our engineering standards
- Resolve or mitigate incidents and issues
- Engage with business stakeholders and end users/customers to understand customer needs.
Required qualifications and experience
- Master's degree in computer science or related field
- 2+ years of full-time engineering experience with strong Python/Golang programming skills
- Experience with distributed system programming
- Familiarity experience with big data frameworks such as the Apache ecosystem, particularly Apache iceberg, Delta Lake and/or Hadoop.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, API design, cloud-native development, CI/CD solutions such as Github actions, design patterns and popular architecture frameworks
- On the plus side: experience from a fast-growing tech organization building SAAS and/or geospatial data.
