Marketing Manager: Growth & Community
Are you a growth-oriented marketer who gets your energy from attracting new users, building momentum around a software platform, and translating complex technology into compelling stories and campaigns?
As our Marketing Manager – Growth & Community, you will lead our user acquisition efforts and help grow the global community around the Ocean Data Platform.
You will drive go-to-market initiatives, campaigns, and community engagement activities that bring new researchers, industry partners, and policy actors into the Ocean Data Platform. Youu have marketed software products before, and are comfortable working hands-on with campaigns, events, and content while collaborating closely with product, data, and partnerships teams.

While occasional remote work may be possible, this is predominantly an on-site position at our offices in Fornebu. We value in-person collaboration and presence at the office. This position reports to our Growth and Impact Director.
What You’ll do
- Go-to-market execution: You will develop a marketing strategy and execute initiatives that translate platform capabilities into clear value propositions for different user groups across science, industry, and policy.
- User acquisition and Community leadership: You will lead the initiatives that attract new users to the Ocean Data Platform through campaigns, partnerships, events, and (digital) community engagement activities.
- Cross-team collaboration: You will work closely with the your new colleagues in customer success, data, tech and partnerships teams to ensure marketing activities reflect real user needs and platform priorities.
- Own acquisition performance and reporting: You will define, track, and report on key acquisition and engagement metrics for the Ocean Data Platform, continuously optimizing growth strategies and outreach activities based on performance insights.
Required Qualifications (RQs)
- Bachelor’s OR master's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- 3+ years of marketing experience, ideally growing a B2B SaaS brand across any sector for data platforms, or in technology environments
- Proven experience driving user acquisition and engagement through campaigns, webinars, partnerships, and events
- Experience collaborating across teams such as product, partnerships, and customer success
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Hands-on experience with low-code platforms and strong interest to understand how AI agentic functionalities will enhance our platform value proposition
- A valid Norwegian residence permit or eligibility to obtain one
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
- Experience within start-up organizations
- Experience building or engaging professional communities around technology platforms
- Prior exposure to ocean industries, ocean science, geospatial data, or GIS tools is a plus
