Duties and Responsibilities
- Project accounting experience
- Account receivable billing/invoice processing
- Reconcile G.L. balances, job costs, journal entries, and bank statements.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable, including following up on outstanding payments.
- Perform specific month-end close responsibilities as assigned within the timeframe of the close process.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Analyze costs and provide recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other M.S. Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Must have flexibility and the ability to multi-task priorities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines on time
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong working knowledge of computers and standard software packages
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree is required
- At least one year of experience preferred.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, as needed.
