Position overview
We are seeking an experienced and well-connected Director of Corporate Partnerships to lead our expansion in the U.S. market.
This role is ideal for a strategic, entrepreneurial individual with a strong network of corporate contacts or an existing portfolio of brand partnerships in the United States.
You will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing partnerships that align with Coral Gardeners’ mission and values — excellence, innovation, and environmental sustainability.
This is a freelance, full-time position, based either in the U.S. or French Polynesia.
If based in the U.S., frequent travel to Mo’orea, French Polynesia (our HQ) is expected to strengthen collaboration with our core team.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development (U.S.): Lead the expansion of Coral Gardeners’ corporate partnerships across the United States, focusing on high-impact collaborations with purpose-driven brands.
Partnership Acquisition & Retention: Identify, pitch, and secure new multi-year sponsorships and strategic alliances, while maintaining and growing existing relationships.
Revenue Growth: Drive significant revenue through corporate contributions, ensuring all partnerships contribute meaningfully to Coral Gardeners’ mission.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior decision-makers, leveraging your network to open doors and close deals.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Communications, and Partnerships teams to design tailored proposals and activations.
Reporting & Strategy: Track partnership performance, provide actionable insights, and refine strategies to maximize engagement and funding outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in corporate partnerships, business development, or fundraising — ideally within an NGO, sustainability, or social impact sector.
Network: Established relationships or proven access to corporate decision-makers in the U.S. market.
Results-Driven: Demonstrated success in securing six-figure (USD 500K+) partnerships or sponsorships.
Strategic Thinker: Strong ability to develop data-informed growth strategies and navigate complex negotiations.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills; able to inspire and influence C-level executives.
Leadership: Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
Languages: Fluent English required; French is a plus.
