Ocean Podcast Marketing Coordinator
Hybrid or remote position

Established in 2003, Blue Frontier’s mission is to build the solution-oriented citizen engagement needed to protect the ocean, the coasts, and the communities, both human and wild, that depend on them. We bring industry leaders and citizen scientists alike into decision making processes that contribute to thriving ecosystems.
In 2021 Blue Frontier launched the twice monthly Rising Tide Ocean Podcast, with now more than 28,000 listeners and air play on a number of radio stations. We are seeking a part time Ocean Podcast Marketing Coordinator to help expand our audience. This position will work with our hosts and producers behind the scenes of our highly rated and reviewed podcast, and get it broadcast on many more radio stations and major podcast streaming services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote the podcast effectively.
Job Duties:
- Manage the bi-monthly podcast distribution
- Expand reach and networks
- Research new distribution platforms including radio stations and podcast streaming platforms
- Assist in creating content for various marketing channels including social media, email, and website
- Promote podcast via social media and other news outlets
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities
- Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns
- Seek and develop paid sponsorships and partnerships
Desired skills and experience:
- Background in communications, media, and podcasting
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to work both independently and in team settings
- Familiarity with podcast and radio formats
- Proficiency in video and audio editing preferred
- Passion for the ocean
