Blue Frontier works to promote unity within the solution-oriented marine conservation community and elevate the movement, strengthening and expanding the ocean constituency. We convening meetings that draw citizen activists and grassroots marine (or seaweed) groups as well as international non-governmental organizations and government departments. Blue Frontier Campaign hosts the biennial Blue Vision Summit and annual Peter Benchley Ocean Awards as well as local and regional strategy and/or response meetings, for example, in response to spills. We participate in the Healthy Ocean Coalition to support the National Ocean Policy. Blue Frontier Campaign seeks to raise awareness about the constituency for the oceans, about oceans issues, and about actions individuals can take to be more ocean-friendly. The Blue Movement Directory lists over 1400 blue groups in the United States and beyond. This directory is used by citizens to find groups to get involved with, by organizations to find collaborators, by government relations staff to identify local groups. Blue Notes, the monthly newsletter, is used to keep the community up to date on the latest from Capitol Hill, groups around the country, and oceans in the news. The illustrated book 50 Ways to Save the Ocean is an easy-to-use guide to making your life more ocean-friendly.
