Blue Frontier works to promote unity within the solution-oriented marine conservation community and elevate the movement, strengthening and expanding the ocean constituency. We convene meetings that draw citizen activists and grassroots marine (or seaweed) groups as well as international non-governmental organizations and government departments. Blue Frontier Campaign hosts the biennial Blue Vision Summit and annual Peter Benchley Ocean Awards, as well as local and regional strategy and/or response meetings, for example, in response to spills. We participate in the Healthy Ocean Coalition to support the National Ocean Policy. Blue Frontier Campaign seeks to raise awareness about the constituency for the oceans, about ocean issues, and about actions individuals can take to be more ocean-friendly.
