JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager coordinates and manages the planning, organizing, and overseeing all

aspects projects owned by Finance & Administration to ensure projects are delivered on time,

within budget, and according to scope and specifications. The Project Manager coordinates

cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to manage resources, mitigate risks, and

maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project planning and initiation: Coordinating and drafting project scope, goals,

deliverables, timelines, and budget with the project sponsor.

• Team leadership: Assembling and managing a project team, assigning tasks, and

providing coordination and support under the direction of the project sponsor.

• Resource allocation: Capturing, monitoring and reporting project resources

(personnel, equipment, budget) to the project sponsor.

• Progress monitoring: Tracking project progress against the plan, identifying potential

issues, and making recommendations for corrective action.

• Risk management: Identifying, assessing, and making recommendations to mitigate

potential project risks.

• Stakeholder communication: Regularly updating stakeholders on project status,

addressing concerns and managing expectations.

• Quality control: Ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.

• Budget management: Monitoring project expenses and ensuring adherence to the

budget.

• Reporting and documentation: Preparing project reports, status updates, and

necessary documentation.

• Create and update documentation for Finance & Administration procedures as

needed.

• Perform other duties and special projects in support of the department as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, engineering, computer science)

•Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

•Leadership skills: Ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve project goals. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with geographically dispersed colleagues.

•Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

•Analytical skills: Ability to assess project data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

•Problem-solving skills: Identifying and resolving project issues efficiently

•Organizational skills: Ability to manage complex projects with multiple tasks and deadlines.

•Technical proficiency: Understanding of project management tools and methodologies. Microsoft Office applications, Adobe software and Sage Intacct or comparable cloud-based accounting platform.

•Personal commitment to American Rivers’ mission and core values.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

•Proficiency in Sage Intacct implementation or comparable ERP

•Familiarity with non-profit accounting; familiarity with accounting a bonus.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $131,000 annually depending upon qualifications and experience.Full-time employee benefits include health, dental, and life insurance, a retirement plan, training

budget, sick leave, 11 paid holidays, four weeks of paid vacation, paid sabbaticals every seven

years, and a 3% retirement match.
