This part-time, casual, non-exempt role offers up to 19 hours per week and eligibility for part-time benefits.
Additional Job Requirements
Essential Functions & Duties
Build and maintain WordPress sites using block/module-based tools
Translate design and architecture plans into functional, user-friendly web pages
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve CSS-related issues to ensure compatibility across various platforms and devices
Conduct routine site maintenance, including addressing SEMrush-reported issues (e.g., fixing dead links, updating heading tags)
Apply a basic understanding of WordPress systems, including taxonomies, custom post types, and facet filtering, to improve site functionality
Ensure adherence to established web design and development standards, including accessibility and performance best practices
Required Experience & Education
Proven proficiency in WordPress, including custom post types and taxonomy management
Strong understanding of CSS and responsive design principles to create seamless, mobile-first user interfaces
Basic knowledge of UX principles, ensuring a strong user experience throughout the site lifecycle
Experience troubleshooting and resolving front-end web-related issues, including CSS and browser compatibility challenges
Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., SEMRush) and their application for site improvement
Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with leadership, as well as within cross-departmental working groups
Detail-orientation, with strong organizational and time management skills
Learning mindset, adaptable and open to new tools and processes
Preferred Experience & Education
Familiarity with block-based site-building tools in WordPress
Knowledge of debugging tools for front-end issues
