Job Summary

An experienced program coordinator is desired to assist with management of several on-going oceanographic observational projects. Typical duties shall include technical editing and proofing of proposals, scientific manuscripts, project reports, and technical reports. The job shall entail monitoring of purchase orders, tracking expenses, and arranging travel for field work. Creation of public websites for project outreach is desirable.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

High-level editing of proposals, manuscripts, project reports, and technical reports. Tracking of large permanent equipment purchase orders, and interacting with vendors. Making travel arrangements for very short notice field campaigns, accounting oversight and funding tracking.

Education & Experience

Education Desired: Associates degree with at least 10 years of experience of account management of active field programs, or Bachelors or Masters’ degree with 5 years of experience. Expertise in technical report editing for oceanographic observations.

Previous Experience Desired: Previous experiences with project management of field programs, as well as editing of scientific manuscripts and technical reports.
