Mobile Baykeeper is hiring a full-time Education Coordinator.

Mobile Baykeeper exists to defend and revive the health of the waters of Coastal Alabama. We work towards real, measurable improvements in the health of the waters of Coastal Alabama. We’ll know we are successful when no one has to question whether the fish are safe to eat or the water is safe to swim in, when our seagrasses and oyster reefs recover, and our coastal communities take responsibility for the health of the water.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Education Coordinator will be part of Mobile Baykeeper’s Environmental Education Team and work directly under the Education Director. Mobile Baykeeper is launching a new outdoor after-school program in Spring 2025 for students in grades 4-6, titled NextGen Baykeepers. The purpose of the program is to provide meaningful experiences on local waterways through kayaking to create the next generation of environmental stewards. The Education Coordinator will lead the NextGen Baykeeper program, assisted by interns. Additionally, this position will spearhead education campaigns and a water quality monitoring program with local high schools.
