ABOUT CAHABA RIVER COALITION
Cahaba River Coalition (CRC) was formed by the 2025 merger of Cahaba River Society and Cahaba Riverkeeper, dedicated to protecting and restoring the integrity of the Cahaba River. The Cahaba River is Alabama’s longest free-flowing river and one of the most biodiverse in North America, supplying drinking water and anchoring the region’s economic vitality. As a local Waterkeeper Alliance member, CRC ensures clean water and healthy ecosystems through advocacy, research, education, and legal enforcement. We hold polluters accountable and monitor water quality to meet the ongoing challenges facing this vital resource.

POSITION SUMMARY
We seek a dynamic, visionary leader committed to preserving the Cahaba River and driving the strategic growth of the Cahaba River Coalition (CRC). The Executive Director provides clear leadership, spearheads the strategic plan, and serves as the organization’s chief ambassador, driving significant growth in philanthropic revenue through external relations and donor cultivation. The ED leads, mentors, and empowers a skilled staff, ensuring operational excellence, financial health, and strong governance in close collaboration with the Board of Directors, all while aligning advocacy, education, and stewardship efforts to protect this vital, biodiverse resource.
