ShoreRivers is seeking a full-time Executive Director to support and uplift staff while leading its impactful work by embodying its core values.

ABOUT SHORERIVERS
ShoreRivers protects Maryland’s Eastern Shore Waterways through science-based advocacy, restoration, education, and engagement. The organization believes that environmental and racial justice in its staff, board, supporters, and programs is critical to achieving its mission for swimmable, fishable, clean, and safe rivers for everyone in its communities. The staff is full of dedicated Riverkeepers, educators, scientists, restoration specialists, and advocates focused on policies and projects that will improve a strong, collective voice for Eastern Shore waterways. Note: ShoreRivers is the parent organization for the Choptank RIverkeeper, Miles-Wye Riverkeeper, Chester Riverkeeper, and Sassafras Riverkeeper and is located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a leader who can compassionately support and elevate a team of expert staff, collaboratively engage with the variety of stakeholders in our region, uphold the organization’s excellent reputation and financial stability, and communicate our vision of healthy rivers cherished by all communities. The next Executive Director will lead our impactful work by embodying our core values: solutions-oriented, optimistic, community-centered, and trusted. They will also maintain a community-centered perspective when engaging with people and projects.
