We're on the lookout for a dynamic and resourceful individual to spearhead our engagement in international projects at the CCMAR Science Communication Unit, particularly the EUREMAP project. As part of our team, you'll work with us in translating complex research findings and activities into accessible language for the public, media, and stakeholders. Position based in Faro, salary 1649,15 €.
Requirements:
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English is essential.
- A degree in Communication, Science Communication or related field. Qualifications in natural sciences will only be accepted if your CV includes at least 3 years of experience in communication activities.
- Experience and training in communication, with proficiency in website development and CMS, social media platforms, and digital media production.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; training in project management is a definite advantage.
- A fervent passion for marine science and environmental conservation.
- Willingness to work from Faro, Portugal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop communication and outreach materials that effectively convey the essence of our projects and scientific activities to diverse audiences.
- Liaising with international project partners to implement joint communication activities.
- Generate compelling content highlighting our scientific activities and achievements across various platforms, including websites, social media channels, and press releases.
- Provide support to activities developed by the CCMAR Science Communication Unit, including organization of outreach events and scientific gatherings.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on project communication activities, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
