JOB TITLE: Regional Sales Manager – Rental Equipment

REPORTS TO: Fabrication Division Manager

STATUS: Exempt, salary

SALARY RANGE: $90,000-$130,000/year

LOCATION: Ludington, MI (hybrid possible)

Job Summary:

The Clear Water Services environmental water treatment and equipment division at Tidal Vision is in a transitional period. As the Outside Sales Lead, you will drive customer engagement and sales by generating leads, conducting consultations, and showcasing our advanced water treatment equipment. Your role involves transforming inquiries into sales, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring high satisfaction through exceptional support and coordination with internal teams. With a strong understanding of water filtration systems and technical equipment, combined with excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring successful product adoption. Your ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and make strategic decisions will be key to your success in this fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Operate and work within our Mission Driven Culture Core Values and Principles.
  • Proactively engage with potential customers by responding to rental inquiries and following up on leads to transform them into valuable sales opportunities.
  • Conduct on-site consultations to assess clients’ equipment needs, and deliver compelling presentations that showcase the unique benefits and advantages of our water treatment rental equipment.
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with clients by thoroughly understanding their business needs and offering customized solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through continuous communication, addressing any concerns with rented equipment, and serving as the primary point of contact throughout the rental process. Provide exceptional support to ensure clients have the ideal equipment for their project requirements and maintain ongoing engagement to foster retention and loyalty.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the company’s equipment inventory, including specifications, features, and proper usage.
  • Provide guidance or coordinate training for clients on the safe and effective use of the rented equipment if required.
  • Assist in developing competitive pricing strategies based on market
  • conditions and client demands.
  • Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and resource allocation for upcoming rental projects.
  • Oversee the seamless delivery, setup, and maintenance of rental equipment by working closely with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient operations.
  • Act as a liaison with the service and maintenance departments to guarantee that all equipment remains in optimal condition and is ready for rental.
  • Partner with the marketing team to create and implement promotional materials, campaigns, and events designed to attract new customers and showcase the company’s offerings.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
  • Continuously improve through feedback.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • 2 years sales experience in water treatment industry, or related field
  • Knowledge of water filtration systems or general technical equipment, with the ability to understand and communicate complex product features effectively.
  • Proven experience in business-to-business sales, demonstrating a track record of building relationships and driving results within a professional market.
  • Existing client database/relationships in industry in construction, remediation, dewatering, environmental engineering are a plus.
  • Experience coordinating and/or tracking multiple concurrent projects and timeline.
  • Experience with environmental permitting.
  • Project management experience.

Skills and Ability:

  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience working among multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment; decision-making/triaging skills are a must.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

Most of the work is performed in production sites or other facilities and is required to oversee operations and collaborate with teams on-site. May require sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to move throughout the office to interact with employees. Position requires hand manipulative skills for word processing and writing. Must be able to hear verbal conversations over the phone and in-person with background noise. Must be able to consistently identify objects and persons at a distance and read fine print on various forms.
