Organization Overview
The International Fisheries Conservation program is a sponsored project of The Ocean Foundation (a unique 501(c)3 international community foundation). This program seeks to provide scientific and policy advice to catalyze development of a system of rules and consequences for sustainable management of marine fisheries globally.
Position Overview
The International Fisheries Conservation program is looking for a Senior Program Associate.
The position will support the work of The Ocean Foundation’s (TOF) International Fisheries Conservation program to advance precautionary harvest strategies at regional fisheries management organizations (RFMOs). Expected job responsibilities include communicating fisheries science and policy to diverse audiences, supporting the preparation of the program’s science-based policy positions, and representing the program at international fisheries meetings. The senior program associate’s work location is flexible and could be based anywhere in the United States through a telework agreement. As a core guiding value, the International Fisheries Conservation program, as a sponsored project of The Ocean Foundation, works to foster greater diversity, equity, and inclusion in the design and execution of all programs. The Senior Program Associate position is instrumental in maintaining those core value standards in their role.
