The Mission to Seafarers is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Development team in London. This newly created post reports to the Senior Marketing Manager and works closely with the Marketing Officer to raise awareness of our work, promoting engagement, partnerships and donations in support of seafarers around the world.
You will lead and coordinate integrated marketing and fundraising campaigns, from developing plans, timelines, messaging frameworks and creative briefs through to monitoring performance and producing cross-channel reports. Responsibilities also include overseeing video production and storytelling, coordinating publications such as impact reports and campaign toolkits, and producing marketing materials for appeals, corporate partnerships, legacy marketing and key moments including Sea Sunday and Day of the Seafarer. You will manage content across our digital channels, including website content, campaign landing pages and e-newsletters, and brief external videographers, designers, printers and other suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in marketing, including digital marketing and communications experience gained in a commercial or fundraising context. A degree and/or professional qualification in marketing is ideal. Candidates will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to write clear, jargon-free copy that tells a story, experience producing analytical reports, proficiency in MS Office, and a high level of accuracy when editing and proofreading. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/InDesign) would be a distinct advantage. Applicants must already have the right to live and work permanently in the UK. Benefits include 25 days’ annual leave plus public holidays, a 7% employer pension contribution and life assurance at three times base salary.
