The Mission to Seafarers seeks a Database Officer to provide comprehensive support to our Data & Appeals Manager in the Development Team.
Working with the Data & Appeals Manager, you’ll assist in the daily management of our supporter and contact database, maintain and manage Raiser’s Edge database, and conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy. You’ll work with the Finance Team to reconcile and process donations from various sources, run routine processes including direct debit and gift aid claims, undertake data entry, and run queries to extract data for planned appeals. You’ll provide training and advice to colleagues on database access and usage, undertake data checks to maintain database integrity, and work with external agencies coordinating data provision.
This London-based role requires excellent computer skills including expertise in CRM systems (preferably Raiser’s Edge), proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong working knowledge of Excel formulae and functions. You should have experience working with large data sets, running and building queries, and strong understanding of GDPR and data confidentiality. Excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
