The Mission to Seafarers (MtS) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chaplain / Ship Visitor to serve in the Port of Saldanha Bay. This full-time role involves providing spiritual, emotional, and practical support to seafarers of all backgrounds and nationalities by visiting them on board vessels arriving at the port.

We welcome applications from both ordained and non-ordained candidates. While MtS is an Anglican Mission, this position is open to Christians of all denominations who have a strong Christian faith, an appreciation for MtS’s Anglican roots, and a deep commitment to the well-being of seafarers.

Key Requirements:

  • A heart for MtS’s work and a desire to support seafarers in their unique challenges
  • Strong interpersonal and pastoral care skills
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage)
  • The legal right to live and work in South Africa
