The role

Do you have experience delivering outstanding customer service? Are you passionate about supporting a global community of Members who care about the future of our ocean?

At the Marine Biological Association, our vision is Pioneering Science for the Health of our Ocean and our Members are a vital part of making that happen.

We’re looking for a highly organised Membership Officer to be the first point of contact for our Members and prospective Members, ensuring our Membership operations run smoothly and efficiently.

This is an exciting time to join our Engagement Team as we continue to grow our global Membership community of researchers, professionals and ocean advocates spanning 53 countries.

This is a hands-on and varied role, focused on delivering a high-quality Member experience. You will manage Membership enquiries, applications, renewals, payments and cancellations, maintain accurate CRM records; and support the coordination of our Bursaries and Awards programme.

Working closely with colleagues, you will contribute to Membership growth and retention, support campaigns, improve processes, deliver engaging talks to prospective Members and ensure Membership activities and communications keep Members connected and engaged.

If you are a highly organised, detail-focused administrator with exceptional customer service skills and thrive in a busy, collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you. This is an opportunity to make a tangible difference by supporting the next generation of marine biologists through our Bursaries and Awards programme, whilst growing a global community of Members championing ocean science.
