Subnero designs and builds mission‑critical underwater communication and positioning systems for harsh ocean environments. We seek a designer committed to rigorous engineering and industrial design whose role can grow into Product Owner as they learn our products, customers, and market.As a Mechanical and Product Designer, you will:- Design subsea products and accessories rated to ~6 km depth from concept to qualified hardware.- Design topside desk/deck units.- Bring an industrial design eye to ensure purposeful, modern hardware.- Apply DFM/DFE from the first sketch.- Select materials, sealing, and connector interfaces; perform structural/pressure analysis.- Engage vendors/manufacturers early to align design and process.- Own CAD, STEP files, GA drawings, and production/assembly instructions.- Run configuration management across models/variants.- Own internal/external testing, including pressure qualification.- Own products long‑term and develop for upcoming lines (incl. diver devices).You will thrive in this role if you:- Have 4–5 years’ mechanical design experience with a portfolio of shipped products.- Have managed multiple devices/variants concurrently.- Bring DFM/DFE and industrial design experience (consumer electronics a plus).- Are fluent in CAD and documentation; FEA for structural/pressure is a strong advantage.- Have managed revisions and full lifecycle (CM/PLM tools ideal).- Engage vendors/manufacturers confidently.- Have an eye for ID and product feel, not just performance.- Marine/subsea/pressure‑rated product experience is a strong plus.- Hold a mechanical engineering degree with industrial/product design, or equivalent experience.Before applying, you might want to:- Explore our products/solutions and consider the ocean environment constraints.- Think about one object you’d redesign for underwater and why it fails today.Life at Subnero: Rigor, Curiosity, Responsibility, Transparency.How to Apply: Apply at MyCareersFuture (link above).
