Ocean Job Board

The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council is a regional fishery management council established by Congress to manage fisheries in federal waters from North Carolina to Florida. It develops fishery management plans and sets annual catch limits to ensure sustainable fishery resources. The council manages over 64 species and collaborates with other councils to address management needs. It operates transparently, involving public input in its decision-making process, and consists of 17 members appointed by the Secretary of Commerce.
