Our mission is to drive sustainable growth, reduce environmental impact, and foster a culture of corporate responsibility. As we expand our footprint in the UK and EU markets, we are looking for a dedicated Sustainability Partnerships Consultant to help us achieve these goals.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Partnerships Consultant with a strong background in both sustainability consulting and business development. The ideal candidate will have experience in both sales and consultancy: building and nurturing client relationships, writing proposals, submitting tenders and delivering sustainability consultancy projects. This role is crucial in driving the growth of our consultancy services across the UK and EU, with a targeted focus around upstream waste and plastic management for businesses. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, attending key industry events, and contributing to our expansion strategy in these regions. You will work closely with the Sales team and the Consultancy team.

Responsibilities:

1. Business Development:

- In cooperation with Partnerships Director develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand our client base in the UK and EU sustainability markets.

- Work as a member of an international team..

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential clients, markets, and partnerships in the specified regions.

- Lead negotiations, close deals, and manage contracts to ensure profitability and alignment with company objectives.

- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify growth opportunities.

- Track and report on sales performance, including revenue, client acquisition, and pipeline development across the UK and EU markets to the Partnerships Director.

2. Client Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients across the UK and EU, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term engagement.

- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing technical expertise, advice, and support throughout the sales process.

- Collaborate with clients to understand their sustainability needs and challenges, proposing tailored solutions that meet their objectives.

- Manage client accounts, including contract renewals, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.

3.Project Management of Sustainability Service Clients:

- Work as a member of an international Consultancy team - to ensure seamless delivery of services and client satisfaction.

- Leverage your sustainability knowledge to design and present bespoke consultancy solutions that address client needs in the UK and EU markets.

- Write and develop compelling proposals, tenders, presentations, that demonstrate our value proposition.

- Structure project management plans including work packages, tasks and milestones across project timelines that meet internal resource availability and client expectations.

- Generate quotation and pricing structures based on service offerings in a competitive UK and EU market.

- Provide technical guidance to clients on all areas of sustainability and provide insights as a subject matter specialist around waste and plastic.

- Technical Supervision of projects and present project deliverables to the client

4. Networking & Industry Engagement:

- Attend sustainability events, conferences, and networking opportunities across the UK and EU to promote Seven Clean Seas and build relationships with key stakeholders.

- Stay informed on industry developments, voluntary disclosure frameworks, and regulatory compliance to provide clients with up-to-date advice and solutions.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.

- Minimum 3 years experience within the sustainability sector ideally in a consultancy setting.

- Proven track record in technical sales within the sustainability sector, ideally in a consultancy setting.

- Strong technical understanding of sustainability principles, practices, assessment methodologies and regulatory frameworks in a UK and EU context.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

- Proficiency in data analysis and sales reporting tools.

- Experience in writing proposals, tenders and delivering presentations to clients.

- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Additional Skills:

- Experience in project management or a similar role.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
