Job Title: Product Manager

Location: Bristol, UK. Hybrid 2+ days per week in the office.

Salary: up to £60,000 if you have all the skills & experience.

Product Manager

Join Rovco/Vaarst as a Product Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping internal products that streamline our operations and enhance business value. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will take a holistic view of the lifecycle of your products and impact on other product team goals. Your role will support delivery teams, act as the voice of the customer, and prioritize product functionality.

This role will include Product Management of the following technical scope: Computer Vision, SLAM, Embedded Software, Machine Learning, Mechanical and Electrical Systems.

Objectives & Responsibilities:

Rovco/Vaarst is an exciting and dynamic environment meaning these are likely to change as we grow. Upon joining your objectives and responsibilities will include:

  • Own the lifecycle of internal products, ensuring they solve business problems and add value.
  • Deeply understand customer and user needs, using data and analytics to inform product decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data engineers and software engineers.
  • Maintain and prioritize product roadmaps and backlogs.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within delivery teams.
  • Support delivery teams by prioritizing required product functionality.
  • Conduct advanced analyses of product and user behaviour to measure the impact of feature releases and identify high-impact opportunities.

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, particularly with data products.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to inspire and influence cross-functional teams.
  • A proven track record of successfully launching and delivering complex technical products.
  • A passion for continuous product discovery.
  • The ability to conduct advanced analyses of product and user behaviour.
  • Experience in translating technical requirements into actionable plans.

  • Working with products across multiple technical areas such as: Computer Vision, SLAM, Embedded Software, Machine Learning, Mechanical and Electrical Systems.
  • Implementing common services and maintaining a library of reusable interface components.
  • Reducing cognitive load for Product Experience Teams, enabling them to focus on customer or business problems.
  • Managing 'keep-the-lights-on' obligations and tech debt versus value creation.
  • Improving the bandwidth of the existing Product team by creating investor-facing tech demonstrations and prototypes.
  • Focusing on solving customer pain points through early-stage prototype development.
