Reefgen is looking for an experienced Robotics Software Engineer to join our creative, mission driven team of engineers and designers. In this position you will collaborate with a talented cross-functional team to design, develop, and maintain software to enable our uncrewed underwater vehicles to restore marine ecosystems faster and more efficiently than ever before. You will test your code in simulation and on real hardware in both lab & field settings.

About you

We are looking for a curious and self-motivated software engineer who is able to collaborate well with others, communicate effectively, and is able to work independently on tasks. We do not expect you to have all of the following skills, but if you have some, the role excites you, and you want to learn the rest on-the-job, we urge you to apply!

● C++ and Python in a Linux environment

● ROS or ROS2

● Hardware interfaces like CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, etc.

● Robotics algorithm experience: localization, sensor fusion, path planning, control, etc ● Computer Vision

● Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technology

● Graphical User Interface Design

● Build & Test Automation (CI/CD)
