General Description

We are looking for an LCOE and Business Intelligence Analyst, who is passionate about offshore wind technologies and enjoys the unique challenges of a growing business in an emerging industry. You will join Principle Power’s LCOE and Business Intelligence Team within the Commercial department, a high-performing and dynamic team, that actively contributes to internal and external strategies of the organization, positioning Principle Power as the global leader in the floating wind energy sector. As part of the team, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams with the utmost floating wind technological innovations and contribute to global decarbonization goals.

Main Accountabilities

The accountabilities of this role are split into two main streams: leading logistics and economic analysis of floating offshore wind projects and supporting the Commercial/Business Development teams in achieving their targets towards customers, supply chain, and other stakeholders in markets where Principle Power is active.

Economic assessment:

  • Perform economic assessments and GHG emissions estimates for a global portfolio of floating offshore wind projects to inform customers’ business cases and support Principle Power’s product development roadmap
  • Perform wind farm O&M modeling simulations using commercial software to estimate wind farms’ availability and operational costs
  • Keep improving Principle Power’s estimating tools and interfacing with Engineering and O&M teams to translate field experience into logistic and economic assessments
  • Engage with the supply chain to collect data to build cost databases for capital costs and operational costs related to the development of floating offshore wind farms

Support to Business Development:

  • Develop frameworks and manage tools (mostly in Power BI) to support decision-making within the Commercial Team on various topics including market prioritization, opportunity prioritization, and customer prioritization, among others
  • Collect market intelligence for the key markets to support prioritization
  • Support the Business Development Managers in early engagements with Clients by answering Requests for Information and/or Proposal
  • Work with Engineering, Technology and Commercial departments to compile and standardize information about Principle Power’s products and services
  • Support Management Team to make strategic decisions on growth, operations and organization to drive business and revenue growth based on the project pipeline and product development
  • Provide business insights through data analysis to inform and optimize Marketing and Communication strategies, including contributing to the development of compelling conference/webinar presentations

Other functions as required

Required Professional Experience:

  • 2+ years of professional experience, or education equivalent
  • Experience with offshore energy/offshore wind/floating offshore wind will be viewed favorably

Required Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with offshore wind technology and operations
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;
  • Familiarity with programming (e.g., VBA, Python) and database systems are advantages
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills
  • Languages: Fluent in English required (Principle Power’s working language); Other languages a plus (namely in markets where we are present)
  • Familiarity with Power BI is an advantage
