General Description
Working within the Marine Systems Engineering Group this position’s main responsibility is to lead the outfitting design of the WindFloat®; by analyzing client requirements and environmental constraints, integrating and defining the main systems used on the platform and ensuring the consistency between all the systems.
The chosen candidate will work alongside a team of inter-disciplinary engineers and modelers / drafters and will be expected to provide technical and project leadership within their scope of responsibility.
The main activities will focus on structural and equipment layouts, general arrangements, piping design, instrumentation integration, and safety systems engineering considering regulations and risk management. Work may be at any stage of the project lifecycle, from conceptual design through fabrication support.
Successful candidates tend to have significant offshore or marine engineering experience as well as multi-disciplinary or field experience.
Principle Power currently operates a hybrid work schedule with 3 days per week to be spent in one of Principle Power’s offices. Offices are presently located in Aix-en-Provence, France; Lisbon, Portugal; Emeryville, California, USA; and Houston, Texas, USA.
