Ocean Job Board

Pacific salmon are a “keystone species” in British Columbia – their homes stretch from mountain streams to the middle of the ocean. More than 130 species depend on salmon abundance directly for survival. The Pacific Salmon Foundation is an independent non-governmental organization that exists to guide the sustainable future of Pacific salmon and their habitat. The organization is a catalyst that connects and motivates people, communities, organizations, and businesses to restore and regenerate Pacific salmon populations in British Columbia and the Yukon. Donations to the Pacific Salmon Foundation support volunteer programs across the province that address salmon conservation and habitat renewal. Since 1989, the Pacific Salmon Foundation has provided these groups with $8.8 million for 1,236 projects which was then leveraged locally for a total impact of $64 million for salmon and the environment. The foundation also manages major initiatives on the Skeena and Fraser rivers.
