Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) ASOSU Website Coordinator for ASOSU.

The ASOSU Website Coordinator serves as a directive-designated clerical position in the Executive Branch to develop marketing materials and marketing plans for various ASOSU campaigns, initiatives, events, and programs with the goal of improving the visibility of ASOSU within the OSU campus and community. This role leads the development, maintenance, and oversight of the official ASOSU Student Government website for all branches, bodies, and offices of the Associated Students of Oregon State University (ASOSU).
Given the limited hours and timeline of ASOSU’s advocacy, these responsibilities (including those provided below) may be amended or vary depending on ongoing priorities, needs, or emergent issues and/or circumstances. The Website Coordinator will work closely with the branch leaders on the Records Officers Committee to fulfill the website needs of the ASOSU Executive Staff.

Position Duties
Main Positional Duties:
  • Manage and oversee all portions of the ASOSU Student Government Website;
  • Maintain communication and work with the Records Clerk and Archivist to ensure current Congressional representatives, session minutes, and legislation are on the website for all students to view;
  • Revise and redesign the ASOSU Student Government website;
  • Support the ASOSU Public Relations Team and ASOSU President and Vice President in creating an ASOSU newsletter;
  • Help lead the promotion of all ASOSU events from all branches, in coordination with other staff members by creating marketing materials;
  • Maintain a set timeline for submission and development of all marketing related materials;
  • Pursue creative and sustainable avenues for student communication and feedback;
  • Maintain current knowledge of on and off campus resources for marketing and promotion purposes, as well as effective and innovative marketing and design methods, these may include MU Creative Studio, OSU Printing and Mailing, and University Housing and Dining Services;
  • Collaborate with the MU Creative Studio as needed to create graphic materials and promotional videos for ASOSU events and campaigns;
  • Create marketing materials that may utilize software like Adobe Studio, Canva, or other related graphic design tools;
  • Ensure OSU and/or ASOSU brand guidelines are followed.
Administrative Tasks & Other Duties:
  • Provide a report to the ASOSU Senate upon request;
  • Attend and successfully complete all required training sessions, including in-person sessions, online training and make-up assignments related to training;
  • Maintain regular and timely communication with the ASOSU President, Vice President and your supervisor reviewing emails and responding to other forms of communication;
  • Attend and participate in reoccurring meetings, including staff meetings, meetings with ASOSU advisors, and any other assigned meetings;
  • Work collaboratively with ASOSU officers and campus/community partners;
  • Role model appropriate behavior for the workplace environment including interactions with coworkers and university partners.
Support Staff Designation:
  • The Website Coordinator, in a manner similar to statutorily designated records officers (including the Records Clerk and Archivist), constitutes support staff of the ASOSU Executive Branch;
  • This position serves all branches of the ASOSU Student Government equally, and should not exhibit preferences toward serving a specific branch. Instead, this position must fulfill their job duties without bias. The presiding officers of the Senate, Judicial Council, and Student Fee Committee (SFC) may issue requests or directives of the records officers when reasonably related to the records and archival duties of their respective bodies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Additional Required Qualifications
  • Must be a Corvallis campus-based student
  • For employment within the ASOSU, the Division of Student Affairs has mandated certain additional requirements beyond those contained in the Student Employment Manual or the ASOSU Constitution. These currently include, but are not necessarily limited to, maintenance of good academic and conduct standing and a cumulative and prior term 2.0 GPA.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to delegate tasks.
  • Experience or knowledge in leading and directing individuals.
  • Experience or willingness to learn the website management program Drupal and other related skillsets.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
  • Term of Employment: Flexible start date, with employment concluding on June 1, 2026.
  • Hours: This position is allotted approximately 15 hours (clocked) per week during the academic year. Some weeks may require additional hours while others require less. Hours must balance out during the pay period and may not exceed 24 hours within a given week per university policy. Additional hours may be available with supervisor approval.
  • Compensation: The compensation for this position is $16.50-17.10 an hour.
  • Training: Student employees must satisfy all training requirements as assigned by their supervisor.
  • Nomination Procedure: Due to current constraints on Senate meetings, the Office of the ASOSU President has voluntarily designated this position by executive directive to serve under similar terms as statutory Records Officers, with the possibility of future implementation in statute at the discretion of the Senate. This directive cedes the determination of the final nomination for a candidate for this position to the Records Officers Appointment Committee established in Title V of the ASOSU Statutes. This committee consists of the ASOSU President, Vice President, Senate President pro tempore, SFC Chair, JC Chair, and up to one concurrent member of the Senate Student Government Committee.
