Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 10 hours per week during the school term and a maximum of 40 hours per week during term breaks) Ecampus Student Outreach –Student Ambassador position with the Division of Educational Ventures at Oregon State University (OSU).
Ecampus Student Ambassadors will participate in outreach campaigns to talk with prospective Ecampus students about their own experiences as OSU Ecampus students. Communication channels will include call, email and text campaigns as well as scheduled phone calls, live chat support and virtual recruitment events. Additionally, Ecampus Student Ambassadors may be asked to participate in marketing-related projects, including contributing to marketing content and social media-related efforts.
This position reports to the associate director of outreach and recruitment within the Division of Educational Ventures. The Division of Educational Ventures is comprised of Marketing and Communications, Student Outreach and Success, Corporate and Workforce Education, Center for the Outdoor Recreation and Economy, Course Development and Training (online education and faculty support), the Ecampus Research Unit, and Open Educational Resources. It is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial organization with a commitment to providing access to Oregon State University’s programs of excellence.
The position is available as a remote position for students residing outside of Corvallis, Oregon.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
