Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Graduate Student Services Coordinator for the College of Business at Oregon State University (OSU).

The Graduate Student Services Coordinator will assist with the recruitment of graduate students to the College of Business, and supporting current students through Graduate Business Student Services. This will involve assisting with in-person and online recruitment events (including, but not limited to, class visits; preview days; panels; information sessions); conducting outreach and communication to prospective students, applicants, alumni, and other communities at OSU; and assisting with social media and online presence.

There may also be opportunities to assist in admin duties.
Pay rate for this position is $16.05 per hour.

Position Duties
40% Graduate Recruitment Support (~5-8hours per week):
  • 10% Event Management: Attend graduate recruiting events as ambassador of Graduate Programs.
  • 10% Volunteer Management: Connect current students and alumni with opportunities to engage with prospective students.
  • 10% Public Speaking: Deliver customized presentations to prospective student audiences in-person and online.
  • 10% Outreach and Engagement: regular and proactive email communication with prospective students.
40% Marketing and Communication Support (~5 hours per week):
  • 30% Social Media: Strategy, outreach, and content creation.
  • 10% Website: Projects as assigned.

20% Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support Graduate Business Student Services.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Additional Required Qualifications
  • Must be a current graduate or AMP student in the College of Business with at least 3 terms remaining in their graduate program.
  • Strong writing skills, mature interpersonal communication skills, highly organized, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Dedicated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), and virtual meeting spaces (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
  • Experience working with prospective students
  • Experience working with student organizations
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
  • This position involves predominately office/desk work between the hours of 8am-5pm, but will also include support at events.
  • We will work around your class schedule, and some evening availability may be needed.
