Position Summary | This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) student technical assistant for the School of Mktg/Design/Analytics at Oregon State University (OSU). A research assistant is sought to support design scholarship focused on the intersections of design, democracy, and place and community-engaged research. Pay rate for this position is $16.05 per hour. |

Position Duties | The position involves supporting the development of research plans and timelines; identifying and tracking suitable journals for publication; coordinating writing and research projects; conducting literature reviews; copyediting and formatting manuscripts for submission; and coordinating the promotion of accepted submissions through academic and public channels. Weekly meetings will ensure alignment of goals, and much of the work can be completed independently with a flexible schedule. |

Additional Required Qualifications | The ideal candidate will have demonstrated research experience, strong organizational and operational skills, and excellent writing and editing abilities. An interest in design and design research is highly-valued, particularly as they relate to democratic practice and community-engaged scholarship. |
