Position Summary | This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time Math TA position for the Educational Opportunities Program and Mathematics Department at Oregon State University (OSU). The Educational Opportunities Program offers support to students who have traditionally been denied access to higher education. As such we offer courses that help fill gaps in mathematics while completing college mathematics courses. TA’s work with students twice a week to facilitate group work and mathematical learning. In addition to helping students with course content, TA’s share study strategies and demonstrate methods for how students can find the answers for themselves, with the goal that students build the skills that will allow them to excel in their classes. Specifically, TA’s will need to work Tues & Thur 2pm – 250pm during spring term. The anticipated hourly pay for this position is $15.05 hour. |
