Position Summary
We’re looking for a detail-oriented student to join the Community Relations and Marketing team as a Website & Office Support Assistant. In this role, you’ll help keep the OSU-Cascades website fresh, accurate, and user-friendly while also supporting the team with administrative and general office projects. On the web side, you’ll be the go-to person for content updates, layout changes, and responding to requests from departments across campus. You’ll gain hands-on experience with content management systems and website strategy – skills that are highly transferable to careers in marketing, communications, tech, and project management. On the admin side, you’ll help the marketing team stay organized with reporting, photo cataloging, mailing list management, helping promote events, conducting competitive analyses, and other projects as needed. This role is designed to give you the opportunity to problem-solve, collaborate with staff, and see your work in-action.

Position Duties
70% Website Support
  • Update content on the website based on inbound requests from various departments
30% Office/Admin Support
  • Organize and catalogue photos
  • Support with event promotion (updating landing pages, distributing flyers)
  • Conduct competitive industry/competitor analyses
  • General project management
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
