Position Summary | This recruitment will be used to fill up to 10 (a maximum of 24 hours per week during academic terms and a maximum of 40 hours per week during academic breaks) summer agricultural research positions located in Adams, Oregon at the Columbia Basin Agricultural Research Center. These positions will perform routine to complex technical or specialized tasks in support of research and clinical work. Some positions may include laboratory research, greenhouse operations, field plotting, data collection and simple analysis. Depending on the team the candidate is hired onto, travel within Oregon, Washington and Idaho may be required as well as occasional overnight stays at those locations. |

Working Conditions / Work Schedule | Work is performed in a typical outdoor eastern Oregon agricultural setting and laboratory research facility to be determined by the faculty at CBARC. May be exposed to hot summer temperatures, walking on uneven terrain, loud noises and agricultural machinery. May need to maneuver up to 50 lbs. and may be required to stoop, bend and kneel as necessary to complete research projects as assigned. Normal hours during the summer months are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some travel and/or overtime may be required. |
