Finance Manager Full Time
Based in Victoria, BC, we value work/life balance and are open to a hybrid of Remote and In-Person work arrangements. We’re on a quest to find a Finance Manager to manage the finance function, analytics, and financial reporting for a fast-growing, project-based hi-tech private organization.
As our Finance Manager you will be reporting to the CEO responsible for managing and driving our Finance Function in collaboration with manufacturing, project management, engineering and purchasing.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the finance function, including corporate and project financials
- Manage and develop the Finance team to support the delivery of financial results aligned to the business strategy
- Drive and enhance financial and accounting policies, systems, and procedures to maximize profitability and efficiency
- Run business models and ROI analysis
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, due diligence, reporting and forecasting for projects, grants and government funding.
- Provide regular metrics and reports to current investors and fulfill reporting requirements.
- Lead the preparation of monthly financial statements & runway forecasts
- Manage and monitor cash flow, ensuring the company has the financial resources needed to meet its growth and operational needs
- Collaborate with internal teams including manufacturing, project management, engineering and purchasing to ensure alignment on budgets and forecasts
- Manage external financial and tax stakeholders
- Identify, recommend and implement process improvements to gain efficiencies
