Position Summary:
OceanX is seeking a Senior Manager, APAC Partnerships who will support the development and management of relationships with a diverse range of funders based in Singapore and across the APAC region, including government entities, foundations, corporations, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and family offices. Reporting to the VP of Partnerships, this role will steward a portfolio of existing partnerships, actively cultivate new opportunities, manage the donor CRM, and support event coordination.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of converting prospects and cultivating major gifts. This role will have the opportunity to interact directly with the Dalio Family Office, OceanX, Dalio Philanthropies, and external partners, serving as a key on-the-ground representative of OceanX’s global Partnerships team within Singapore.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Steward and cultivate partner relationships, including developing proposals, reports, and materials to support ongoing engagement.
- Represent OceanX and affiliated organizations to external stakeholders, including philanthropic and government partners.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and conduct research on prospective and current partners to inform outreach priorities.
- Manage the prospect pipeline, including conducting outreach and following up on inquiries.
- Support event coordination, including preparation, stakeholder management, event-day execution, and follow-up.
- Coordinate internal processes and procedures, ensuring cross-team alignment and compliance with organizational standards.
- Support OceanX activities through regional travel and work aboard the OceanXplorer, primarily throughout Southeast Asia.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings, to support cross-time zone collaboration.
- Adaptable to varying workloads, balancing periods of focused execution with lighter operational phases.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Professional Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably in Business Administration/Management, Communications, International Relations, or a related field.
- At least six (6) years of experience in partnerships or nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record in prospect conversion and major gift cultivation.
- Demonstrated success securing significant funding commitments from senior-level donors, partners, or decision-makers.
- Experience using donor CRM systems to maintain accurate records, manage prospect pipelines, and inform donor research and outreach.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to drive multiple initiatives from planning through completion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse internal and external audiences.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple workstreams, and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

- Knowledge of Singapore’s philanthropic ecosystem, with exposure to philanthropy across Asia, is a plus.
- General curiosity and passion for ocean science, conservation, and OceanX’s mission.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary (inclusive of a merit-based bonus, dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package, including a comprehensive employer-paid medical plan and CPF.
