To address urgent reports of dugong strandings in Surigao del Sur, Oceanus is launching a project to conserve the vulnerable dugong population. We will conduct scientific assessments of the dugongs and their critical seagrass habitats, while working alongside local partners and communities to implement monitoring, raise awareness, and co-create a sustainable conservation plan for the region. We are looking for a Project Officer who will provide technical leadership and field coordination for Phase 1 of the project, ensuring high-quality data, effective community engagement, and adaptive implementation.
