Ocean Job Board
Administration
Cornwall, UK
GBP 41k-41k / year
Oceana UK is seeking an organised and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Executive Director and play a key role in the smooth running of our UK operations. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, with additional support to the Director of Finance and Administration, the Executive Assistant is a vital connector between our leadership, team, and external stakeholders. This role suits someone who thrives on managing a wide variety of tasks independently, brings excellent judgement and discretion to sensitive matters, and is energised by being at the heart of a fast-moving, mission-driven organisation.
Come join a dedicated team of professionals working to protect UK seas. Oceana UK is focused on some of the biggest threats facing our oceans, including protecting seabed habitats, ending overfishing, and preventing new offshore oil and gas developments. We fight for UK seas to get the protections they deserve through highly visible campaigns and detailed policy interventions that secure measurable changes to rebuild and maintain ocean abundance and health. Having delivered major victories in our first three years of operations — including protecting huge areas of our seas from industrial fishing and stopping new offshore oil and gas expansion — we’re now at a pivotal moment of growth as we evolve our organisation and campaigns to deliver even greater impact over the next 3-5 years.
The salary for this position is £41,000 annually.
Oceana values a diverse workforce and welcomes people different from each other in many ways, including characteristics such as race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, and national origin. Oceana considers all qualified candidates and seeks to recruit from a diverse candidate pool.
This role is hybrid, with three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday) based in Oceana UK’s offices in Newquay, Cornwall or Paddington, London, and two days per week working from home. Regular national, and occasional international, travel will be required to meet team members and stakeholders in geographically diverse locations, including Washington, DC.
Please apply by 19 July 2026.
