The role:
Oceana is looking for a Campaign Director with a strong passion for ocean conservation to lead the design and delivery of Oceana’s campaigns on illegal fishing and transparency in Europe.
The Campaign Director will own campaign-level strategy and delivery, setting clear strategic direction, driving effective implementation, and ensuring measurable advocacy outcomes. The position plays a key role in driving advocacy efforts to combat Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing across Europe and globally. Working alongside policy advisors and cross-functional teams, the Campaign Director will help expose unlawful fishing practices, advance transparency and accountability, and push for stronger fisheries governance and enforcement measures.
Reporting directly to the Head of Campaigns, the role also manages a team of two senior campaigners and contributes to resource development and broader organisational planning, helping to maximise Oceana’s policy impact and public influence. The position is based in Oceana’s office in Brussels (Belgium). The role involves regular travel, primarily within Europe, with occasional inter-continental travel.

Oceana's offices operate on a hybrid schedule, and staff are required to work from their assigned office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Actual salary offer will depend on the candidate's exact work location, qualifications, relevant experience, and internal pay equity relative to current employees in similar roles
