NY/NJ Baykeeper
Are you a NJ-based college student or recent graduate who is passionate about environmental conservation, STEM, or community advocacy? Looking for hands-on experience that prepares you for a career in sustainability, marine biology, or environmental justice?
NY/NJ Baykeeper is hiring two paid interns for Summer 2026 through the NJ Career Accelerator Internship Program.
$20/hour | 150–200 hours over 10 weeks | Hybrid (Kearny Point, Hazlet, and field sites across NJ)
Urban STEM Intern
• Conduct water quality monitoring, support oyster habitat restoration, and participate in hands-on fieldwork across the NY/NJ Harbor Estuary.
Community Engagement and Environmental Justice Intern
• Lead public outreach, support environmental justice programming, and work directly with underserved communities on clean water and climate resilience initiatives.
