The Role: Executive Vice President
As Executive Vice President, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Nortek’s strategic vision. Your mission is to accelerate global sales, foster innovation, and optimize operations to achieve measurable growth and maintain market leadership. This role requires a blend of commercial expertise, technical understanding, and inspiring leadership to guide Nortek into its next chapter of success.
Key Responsibilities
- Corporate Strategy: Work with General Oceans group leadership to develop and implement a cohesive corporate strategy that addresses fundamental market drivers and positions Nortek for future growth. Adapt and direct initiatives towards emerging and high-growth markets.
- Global Sales Expansion: Leverage your international sales and business development experience to enhance Nortek’s market reach. Optimize existing sales networks while establishing new subsidiary locations to drive organic growth.
- Leadership and Culture: Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability that reaches beyond the Nortek boundaries to leverage Group-wide opportunities. Build and mentor high-performing teams aligned with Nortek’s and General Oceans’s strategic and commercial goals.
- Innovation: Reinvigorate the R&D function to deliver cutting-edge products that meet future market demands and maintain Nortek’s competitive edge.
- Strategic Mergers & Acquisitions: Identify and execute strategic M&A opportunities to strengthen Nortek’s market position and product offerings.
Your Qualifications
- Proven track record in senior leadership roles with a focus on international business development and global market expansion.
- Strong commercial acumen combined with technical understanding, ideally within the ocean technology or related industries.
- Demonstrated success in leading innovation-driven teams and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Experience in strategic planning, operational optimization, and preferable experience from executing M&A initiatives.
- Exposure to working in Group/Subsidiary structures is beneficial

Most of Nortek’s technology is based on a scientific physical principle called the Doppler effect. This relates to the change in frequency (or pitch) when a sound source moves with respect to an observer.
By measuring these changes in frequency/phase, our instruments accurately measure profiles of speed and direction of complex water motion.
Nortek’s product portfolio ranges from wave measurement systems to single-point turbulence sensors and oceanic current profilers. Our product range covers four themes: ocean waves, ocean currents, turbulent flow and subsea navigation.
Our objective is to excite users with useful, innovative technology underpinned by oceanographic science and research. We work systematically with quality and are certified by leading quality assurance organizations.
