COORDINATOR, PROJECT ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

Summary

The Project Accounts Payable Coordinator will provide support to the Finance and Accounting Department and, in particular, Accounts Payable to facilitate Project disbursements to grantees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create vouchers and process grantee payments in a timely manner.
  • Prepare pre-reimbursement transfers for all check run cycles.
  • Follow up with bank officers pertaining to transfer and payment issues.
  • Prepare cash receipts.
  • Resolve disbursement request questions with Grant Administration Team.
  • Report out on payments made upon completion of each check run cycle.
  • Assist with retrieving files upon request.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recommend new processes where needed to improve existing processes.
  • Recommend and lead efforts to improve existing processes.
  • Serve as back-up for Operations Accounts Payable Coordinator.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)

  • Significant progress toward bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field or equivalent education or experience.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
  • Flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, Deltek-Costpoint.

COMPENSATION

$29.00/hour, plus generous benefits.
