About the role
This role involves working with NOC’s Directors and Senior Managers to capture and manage risks and to support the business in the pursuit of its strategic objectives. It is the ideal opportunity for an individual pursuing and developing a career in risk management to gain exposure to a wide range of risk and compliance topics, to develop their skills and apply what they have learned in a dynamic and varied business setting.
The role will include supporting the Compliance, Risk and Information Governance Manager in developing, managing and implementing NOC’s Information Governance framework and helping to ensure NOC meets its Data Protection obligations, helping NOC to comply with its own procedures for insuring research integrity and security as NOC interacts with institutions and individuals based overseas, helping to develop and deliver NOC’s risk management framework and other duties to ensure effective management of risk and data.
About you
This role would suite a candidate in the early stages of developing a career in risk management and compliance. You will have had some training and experience in general risk management and compliance frameworks and techniques. You will be familiar with the principles of information governance and management and have had some experience or training covering topics such as the General Data Protection Regulation and information security. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the principles of project management and have experience in planning and running projects. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills and the interpersonal skills required of someone who can take the lead in implementing change within a multi-disciplinary business environment.

Location
This position will be based in Southampton. The centre is well connected by public transport and has ample cycle parking in addition to free onsite car-parking with over 40 EV charging points.
