About the role
The Learning and Development (L&D) Business Partner (People Management and Culture) plays a pivotal role within the People and Skills (P&S) team and the wider NOC, driving the successful implementation of the People & Culture strategy, L&D delivery plan, and key people initiatives.
You will lead on the design and delivery of our people manager development programme, using your experience to shape initiatives that will support our people managers in becoming world class managers and leaders.
A key focus of the role will be developing L&D initiatives to embed our behaviours into daily working lives, providing clarity on what is expected in terms of how we interact with others to create a positive working environment.
This role is dedicated to empowering individuals to thrive and reach their full potential by promoting self-directed learning, professional growth, and the ongoing enhancement of skills that contribute to both personal and organisational success.
As the primary source of learning expertise within NOC, the L&D team provide support and guidance to Strategic HR Business Partners, the P&S team, and the broader organisation.
About you
We are looking for an experienced L&D professional with knowledge and experience of developing and delivering learning initiatives which are aligned with business needs, and designed to foster a culture of continuous development.
You will need to be highly competent at building and maintaining excellent working relationships. You must be well organised and be able to manage your time and priorities effectively. As well as experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint. Experience in managing and monitoring budgets is desirable.
You will be familiar with learning and/or HR systems and have used a learning management system (LMS) or ERP system for managing and maintaining data to a high standard. Attention to detail is key in ensuring that information going out to the business is accurate and up to date. Good communication skills and being a good team player are essential in this role.

Location
This position can be based in Southampton or Liverpool. Our Southampton site is well connected by public transport and has ample cycle parking in addition to free onsite car-parking with over 40 EV charging points. The Liverpool centre is part of the University campus and is only a short walk from the city centre and Lime Street station.
